GIVE the kiss a miss and go for the piece of chocolate instead. It will give you a more lasting buzz.
That was the finding of a study conducted by a group of British researchers on 12 volunteers.
The volunteers, all of whom were in their 20s, were given chocolate to eat and invited to kiss their lovers.
The group had to place a piece of dark chocolate on their tongue, but were not allowed to chew it.
They had to indicate the point at which the chocolate in their mouth started melting.
The researchers then recorded the brain activity of the group.
The study found that at the point chocolate melts in the mouth. all areas of the brain are stimulated far more intensely and for longer than from from kissing.
According to psychologist MrDavid Lewis, 'There is no doubt that chocolate beats kissing hands down when it comes to providing a long-lasting body and brain buzz - a buzz that, in many cases, lasted four times as long as the most passionate kiss.'
Chocolate also makes the heart beat faster, according to the study.
Some people saw the number of heart beats per minute rise from a resting rate of about 60 to as high as 140.
Kissing also made the couples' hearts pound, but not for as long.
Both sexes showed the same responses in the tests. -- AFP.

'Oh no, going to be late! Hurry!' I climb up the escalator, hoping to catch the train to JE. The next moment I slip n fell!!!! I'm feeling so embarrassed! Afraid to turn n look back. Lucky me, I'm wearing jeans today and I didn't fold up my jeans! If not I'll get scratches again like what happen 2yrs back when I fell on the escalator while catching train. This time round I only had blueblacks. Lucky in a way or another.
